Here in Michigan, just got a call from this number.Clase P appeared on my caller ID. Did not answer it, instead went directly to internet to search it out.
Called twice yesterday, once today. Left a voice mail today saying they were referred to me by a friend and to press 1 to get my free personal medical alert system. Huh????? Yeah, they are blocked.
I did the same thing! No VM no call back from me. I don't know the number I don't answer. I have started to hit the 'fax' button on my printer for some of these calls. whatever happened to the No Call Registry???
They called yesterday and today and I am on Do not call list. I looked up the number and it says it is some electric company in New York. It appears they are scammers and I blocked them from my phone but of course they will probably use another number to try again. I have caller ID and so not answer if I don't know the number.
This caller said they worked for Microsoft and detected a virus on my computer. They want you to log in and go to command prompt .where they walk you through typing a series of command .to allow them to take over your computer. They then will hold your computer for ransom.pay or lose everything.
