I got a text from this number at the exact time I got calls from +052623687 which is a known scam number if you look it up here on 800notes.
As for this number they just texted me with the message "PLEASE CALL". I tried to send a text back, but it is a landline phone so it can't recieve texts... I looked it up on whitepages.com thats how I know its a landline.
I dont want to call it, I know its going to just aggravate me.
I received a call from this company advising me that either me or my attorny who is representing needs to call back and if either one of us does not, "good luck with the issue at hand"!
So naturally I was freaked out and called this number back, the man stated that he was from some law office and that I was getting formal charges pressed against me for not paying back a cash advance that I took out. I explained that I never received a cash advance and i could prove that no money was ever deposited into my account! This went on and on for about 45 mins until he threatened to contact me employer and tell them that I was being charged for misappropriating federal funds, theft by deception, etc. When I told him that I felt like I was being threatened, he said that this call was recorded and a judge and several state attornies were listening into my call. I was never advised this at the beginning of teh call and he was extremely rude! He kept telling me that I had a court hearing the next day and I needed to show up with $5000 to give to the judge! Finally when I asked him what court house I needed to show up at he hung up on me.
This is a scam!!! This is the second time in 6 months I have received a call like this...Both were exactly the same. Received the second call this morning. The rude jerk said his name was Michael Payne (Pain??). Last time I was told that these scammers are getting peoples names somehow from the internet. They even called personal references of mine and told them the same thing as they told me!! I reported them, but I don't remember to who & I have since deleted all that info. I believe it was to the FCC.
When they called back again (the first time) I informed them I knew this was a scam and the phone number had been reported to the FCC, the calls stopped....until this morning.
