Who called from 7202141382

Said she was collecting for breast cancer fund, clearly a scam, didn't identify herself or give name of supposed fund.

I am constantly called from someone who keeps rolling over their number fro mteh720 area code.  (I also have a 720 number)  However, I am no a do not call list.  And, they are somehow calling my cell phone.  No messages are left.  I just keep blocking the numbers.

Called my husbands cell multiple times after 8pm. No message. Busy tone when you call back. BS scam.

Yes, I'm noticing the same thing. Scammers are increasingly using local area codes to fool the called party into thinking it's someone legit calling. This makes you more likely to pick up the call. Once you do, the scammer knows your phone number is active, put it's on a list they then turn around and sell to other scammers and lead generators.

I got a call from this number on 2/11/17, 11:31 am. My cell phone was on silent so I didn't see it came in. No message left. On to the block list it goes.

I don't know how many times people have to be told...
DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM UNKNOWN NUMBERS!

Legitimate callers should leave you a voice message. If they don't, don't call the number back, unless you are sure you know who it is.

Btw: this one sounds like it is a cancer charity scam.

The US gov't and all 50 states have known for years their Do Not Call lists are worthless. It never stopped the scammers from calling in any case because the scammers are:
1. Using tech that makes the called from numbers strictly outgoing numbers;
2. Using tech that spoofs their CID;
3. Calling from outside the US - can't prosecute them if can't they can't be found inside our boarders (inside includes US territories such a as Guam, Porto Rico, etc.);
4. Using robo-dial tech that prevents calls back to the number on your phone;
5. If you unwisely decided to call back the number on the CID, you get a message along the lines of, "The survey you are calling about has now ended" and then you're disconnected, or "The number you have dialed in not in service at this time. Please hang up and check to make sure you are calling the correct number", or any number of other messages people say they hear, or you might get a busy signal.

The point being, these scammers know how to play the game so they can't be caught.
