Lola Park from Ziff Davis (a global digital media firm specializing in the technology and gaming markets) called three times in seven minutes this morning. She requested four different IT managers (three of whom are not at this location and one whose title was incorrect), then the IT Department in general. She claimed not to be selling anything, that in fact, our companies do business together. I said if that were true, she'd have accurate contact information. She began to protest, we overtalked each other for a few seconds, then I hung up.
Update -- This is disturbing. A man with an accent wanted to speak with an employee at another location. He ignored my asking three times what the call was in reference to, insisting on being transferred or given the number. Finally he said that he was with a satellite of our company, but when I requested his name, he replied: "I don't have time for this, thank you" and hung up. Legitimate staffers introduce themselves, and Caller ID supports their assertions.
I receive many calls daily at the switchboard from this number. I refuse to answer them anymore. They've tried at least 10 times already today, in 2.5 hours. I answered once, by mistake, then put the call on hold until they hung up. So very tired of these stupid, waste of time garbage calls.
