"This is Lisa with Rewards Redemption! We partner with retailers like Best Buy"
You know it's a scam call if it's a VoIP, which means they can change their number repeatedly and have multiple lines. They're not calling from an actual phone line. I could even hear the Skype noise when they picked up, so obviously, they're dialing numbers randomly. Best Buy and other retailers do rebate the good ol' fashioned way, in store, not randomly like this. Please be sure to tell older family members and friends about this, because I'm sure that they fall for this all the time.
Incidentally, I called them back with a *67 number (to mark my number as "unknown") three our four times and they never picked up. They only picked up when I used my real number, so that's pretty telling.
Anyway, "Rewards Redemption" has a poor rating by the BBB and you can find more info about this scam on the web:
Called back from land line - they answer - said I had defaulted on a Montgomery Wards card and I need to settle it now or I will be in default as I have a court day according to them the next day - would not give me court info or send me any info on the card. I have never had a Wards card, as at that time I was 17 years old. He guy becomes rude and aggressive, trying to force me to settle. I hung up and called court house - I have no case and would have to be served personally if I did. They also call from 719-297-7730, they also will never tell you who they are, they state they are a law firm representing the defaulted Wards accounts.
