This is a pre-recorded telemarketing call. I've received this call on 3 different numbers and it starts off the exact same way with "Emily" having problems with her headset. Added number to blocked caller list on each.
Got a call from this number at 9:05 am this morning on my cell phone. The phone number looked like the one I have for a handyman I want to speak to. I had left a voice message for the man to call me back this morning. So, thinking it was him calling me back, I answered it. BIG MISTAKE.
Some woman who called me wasn't from that company. Instead, she went right into a telemarketing spiel for some vacation package "deal" crap, after I said 'hello'. I asked her to stop talking 3x, in order to ask what vacation company she's calling about and to tell her she's not allowed to call me, but when she didn't stop her droning on and on about the "deal", I hung up on her.
I'm considering calling the number back to ask who they are; I looked the phone number up online and it doesn't come up with any known business name. Obviously, it's a telemarketing calling mill.
Forgot to write that the number's CID reads Denver, CO. Likely it's a VoIP number now, or a cell phone, and they could be calling from anywhere in the world, though her English sounded like an ordinary young American woman.
