This post is old, but I have some info on this company, I got a call from these guys today, about a debt they supposedly owned, they even told me who the original creditor was, but when I asked for a debt validation letter the girl I spoke to got very angry and said she would put in a request and then wished me luck, so that raised huge red flags. I pulled my credit report and the debt was on there, but not for Alpha it was listed under the original creditor. That made me even more suspicious and I looked up the number for the original creditor, and when I spoked to them they told me they still owned the debt that it had not been sold to anyone else, and they would send me a DVL so that I can arrange payment on the debt assuming when I get it that it is actually mine. It seems like this Alpha place is a scam to me.
A very rude thug sounding male called wanting me to confirm my address and got VERY angry when I asked who he worked for. He just repeated his name and said he wasn't legally allowed to give that information until I verified my address. I refused and simply explained I would not until he stated who he represented. He shouted at me and said he couldn't and that he was only trying to help me out. Hope this helps anyone else this jerk calls.
