Got a call from 720-596-6544 and it was a Robot call saying to call 206-923-9309 as a final warning about a pending lawsuit the IRS is filing against me. Called the 720 # and it is a fax #. Called the 206 # and it is fast busy signal. I think it is funny and wonder if anyone else who used Turbo Tax and is having their money put on the NetSpend card is getting these calls.
Me too. First thing message said "We have been trying to reach you." which was a lie. NO such calls from this number, or any other for that matter. Message said to call 716-235-5099. Real IRS would contact anyone with letter first. These scammers use burner cells that can't be traced. You can submit their numbers to your local police and your state attorney general to attempt to follow up. Doubtful they would ever be caught. Hope this helps keep someone from being scammed.
