Called , never answered. Called right back. I lost it and went berserk screamed cursed and hung up. Called back and cursed me. How do we get these guys and put them away?
Why would you call Microsoft about this? This has nothing to do with Microsoft.
The "calling from Windows to fix your computer" is a total scam, using boiler room telemarketers in some foreign country. Unless you're able to string them along for fun, don't even waste time trying to reason with these scam callers, just swear at them and hang up.
These guys called me today to inform me of my Microsoft computer sending error messages. I know of this scam and told the guy I don't own a Microsoft, I own an Mac. He apologized and hung up. Honestly, 2 minutes later they called back with the same spiel from "Apple" but about my Mac. I laughed at the guy and hung up.
Received a phone call from 732-226-8048. There was no live person on the other end, only a recording in very broken and ill spoken English claiming to be on behalf of a law firm in New Jersey. The recording stated that the FBI is schedule to take out a warrant against me at 11:00 tomorrow(no specific date given) unless I contacted this law firm and paid them money to "make the warrant go away". Obviously a fraudulent claim and a scam. Upon calling the number back it just beeps and beeps like the number is not in order, or the phone is off the hook.
They call and don't leave message, tell lies and try to scare you into giving them your info. They are NOT Ms OR a pipeline company or walmart or anything but scammers. BEWARE
