I am just so sick of these calls. They call all the time using various numbers. They spoof numbers (using a law firm in Wichita, Kansas also). We are getting rid of our land line because of these calls. I know they will start calling our cell phones, but it's easier to block the morons on our cell phones.
I just called our AG office and was told there's nothing that can be done. I find this so irritating. The gal I spoke with said just don't answer the phone. Well, that's fine, but these people call day and night. All. The. Time. And I know they are fleecing people. My dad was fleeced. This is just not right.
I also keep getting calls for the same type of thing though a spoofed number. It's not one number, but many. It's a law firm that is being spoofed. I called them several times. They don't know what to do about this problem.
If you don't recognize the incoming phone number, don't answer your phone. Then check it out later, and block it !!

Call from "consumer Advocate". Yeah, right. I saw on other scam related websites that this number is also connected to cruise scams, Carmen and Rachel from cardholder services and the guys who want to fix your infected Windows computer.
Do not answer this number. Block it if you have a call blocker. This is the credit card interest scam that calls from dozens of other numbers trying to get you to give out your social security number and other personal information. They are not in the USA and they are thieves.
