They must be targeting Alabama. Call received from 1-732-276-1300 at 11:50AM on 04/16/09. A recording identifying itself as Max Federal Credit Union and claimed that my account had been suspended for unusual activity. As I do not have an account at Max, I hung up.
I have received 2 calls form this # on my cell phone -- at 1:39 AM Aril 18 and 8:43 PM April 19, 2009. I did not answer nor did they leave a message. My thanks to this website for helping people keep track of these spam scammers.
Max Federal Credit Union is actually in Montgomery, AL (and the tri-county region). I called Max (I bank there, and got the same call), and they said it was a scam.
I got a call this morning at 1:00 a.m. from the number 732-276-1300 on my cell phone, I did not answer it. Got a call from the same number at 7:24 a.m., it was a recorded message about having an account with Max Credit Union. This is a scam, because I do not have an accout with Max.
