My Dr just converted over to computers so now I get robo appointment reminders here in CA from MTBC world-wide HQ in New Jersey.
You can search "Medical Transcription Billing Company" in Google earth and then go to Street View and see their little 2 story pillbox bldg in an industrial park and see their little company car plastered with their advertisements.
This was a legitimate call reminding me of a doctor's appointment that I do have scheduled. I am not in New Jersey, but it was in fact for my doctor. Recorded message.
This is an automated service used by my doctors office to call out doctor appointment reminders. I don't live in New Jersey, but I've confirmed through my doctor's office that this is a legitimate phone call reminder.
I don't owe money to any doctor? And they left a message saying I owe $245? Strange? I have the best insurance in the state, this is clearly fraud. When I called back they wouldn't tell me any information unless I gave them my personal information. No.
