Called today telling me there was a significant breach with my Windows Operating System. Said they were Microsoft and needed me to go to a website to download a patch to protect my PC. I called their bluff and the obviously Indian accent caller told me how urgent it was a I downloaded his patch and it was not a scam. He hung up after I was dropping a few F-Bombs but... there are plenty of people who might fall for it.
Same call, Indian man claiming there has been a breach of my computer, and they were getting reports from my CLID? I didn't let him get as far as telling me to go to a web site, but when i attempted to probe him for more information, he terminated the call. Contacted Simple Network INC in Edison NJ, and was told by a woman with an Indian accent that someone is spoofing their caller ID information, and it has been reported already.
Says there is a problem with my Windows computer, I DO NOT OWN ANY WINDOWS PRODUCTS!!! They have called before, I have asked them to stop and they don't/ Indian guy this time, Nick...
Just got a call from this number. They did not leave a message. Thanks again DoNotCall.gov for taking our tax dollars & using it for parties instead of stopping these calls.
