Y'see. a free or inexpensive call blocker is effective in stopping calls from these scammers.

Not possible. Callers are located in India and Pakistan. They spoof local numbers. Call blocker can be of some help. Also do not pick up on numbers you do not recognize.
called several mtimes. i finally answer they say i was picked for a government grant. then tell ,e that i have to pay a 3.87 mailing fee and asked if i was going to use debit or credit. i told them i didnt feel comfortable giving my information 3 times they finally said so you dont want the money and hung up.
called me yesterday and today said i applied for a grant from the government 6 months ago. Told him that I went through this yesterday with someone and that I didn't apply and he said you don't want it and I said no and hung up. very strong Indian accent that was hard to understand. the name that showed on caller id was Kam Hung
