Recently unemployed looking for COBRA coverage. URL: http://paramounthealthgroup.com has no https certificate and site is hosted by godaddy.com They would not send me anything via postal mail or even give me an email address. They pushed hard for my credit card information which I would not give them. They said they were the largest company in the business but they have no BBB record. So I decided to 'help' them out and asked the NJ BBB to create one for them.
To be clear; Paramount Health Group responded to my web request for information about COBRA insurance coverage. The caller said they were insurance brokers and are skilled at not answering my questions about them, but instead answered my questions with other questions.
If I wanted to run a large scale identity theft operation, I would go for people willingly giving me all their health care information, including their credit card info. Just like Paramount Health Group does. With all that info I could then open any number of credit cards in their name.
IF they call me again, I'm going to ask the caller for their NJ insurance information since anyone that is a licensed insurance broker should be able to give me that for verification.
At best, they are high pressure sales people. You won't know what you are buying until you actually file a claim.
