I received the call this morn (6/16), and was asked for a cash donation to help with fighting school violence. I agreed to $20 and a superior was put on line to verify my info. Once he asked for a credit card number, I hung up. Any donation I've ever made to a Police orginization, was by check.
Any law official would advise you not to give a credit card # over the phone to an unknown person.
