I keep receiving calls from 740-217-1231, from an "Authorized Google" whatever - about my business listing. They are calling my PERSONAL cell phone, which is listed on the Do Not Call Registry. I have asked multiple times to be removed from their calling list; to no avail.
A scam from a Telemarketing Company falsely stating there is an issue with your Google/Bing/Yahoo listing. This is a scam, my phone is on the do not call list.
I played along and spoke to Sean O'Brien. He said the company name is Local Lighthouse (www.locallighthouse.com). I told him the jig is up and this is the 10th call from this business in as many months and I keep asking to be removed from the list. He verified my number and told me he'd hand it to his supervisor to be removed immediately. Cool guy, but shady business. Definitely a call center that preys on older folks unfamiliar with tech.
I've played along before and gained their confidence. They are Local Lighthouse.
I don't know what to do to shut them down, but they are unscrupulous in their business tactics and in violation of several FCC requirements.
Furthermore, their services that they are peddling are sub-par and don't really do anything. If you want SEO, find a real SEO provider or local professional who understands your business.
