My ex-husband got a call today from this lady looking for me. She was also rude. Interesting that she provided the 202-803-6143 number. My father got a call from that number telling me to call and gave me a case number. When I called it was a fraudulant attempt to collect money I supposedly owed from an unpaid payday loan in 2010. Google the 202-803-6143 number.
I think this is an organized crime ring. They have someone call doing a search as though it is a "due dilligent" effort to locate a debtor and then they have the people at the 202 number tell you that you owe money and to settle up. They told me they already subpoenaed my bank records to show that they deposited money into my account on a specific date and that the court agreed I owed the money and cleared me to be prosecuted. They couldn't say how much was deposited in my account but stated I owed nearly $3,600 and I should settle before I am served with legal papers and my bank account is levied. They even had my bank account number and recited it to me as proof they were telling the truth. Well I went back to my bank statement from 2010 and low and behold no deposit was made into my account on the date they claimed. Nevertheless, this was a more sophisticated scam call so I went to a new bank to open a new account since they had my bank information. I had to stop my direct deposit by my employer just in case and am now going to a different bank. I plan to file a report with the FBI.
She did the exact same thing to me today! Asked for an ex employee. I said, there's no one here by that name. YES THERE IS SHE WORKS THERE! NO, she hasn't worked here for over 2 years. WELL. THAT'S ALL YOU HAD TO SAY INSTEAD OF THERE'S NO ONE THERE BY THAT NAME, and hangs up on me! Seriously?? If she doesn't work here - there's no one here by that name!
Just got a call from these people and when I called them on their BS...they cursed at me and hung up!!! I told them I do not have any civil or criminal cases and that they were to never call me again and they proceeded to curse and hang up. When I called back to complain the lady that answered told me...I'm not your secretary...don't call again!
A woman called me during my work hours and since I couldn't talk at the time she said I refused to pay and hung up on me. When I got a chance to call back she said "oh now you want to make arragements" Now a man got on the phone (he wouldn't give me his name" e and I told him due to some errors at my bank and that I get disability so I would not be able to pay until July and he said "what happened to al the money?" "Let me guess, the state pays your rent electric and food so you just did what you wanted to do with your money" Too RUDE!!!
And for his information I pay my rent electric and buy my food, the state pays for NOTHING!!!
I wish they did.
Got same call today from this woman about civil
or criminal papers being served.
Comfort Keepers was on caller ID. Would not give me info for the call what it was pretaining to. She is looking for money.
I received a threatening call from this phone number. They told me my husband has a case number. I said no he hasn't been in trouble. That can't be right. I told her we haven't received anything in the mail. She said I wouldn't be call you if he didn't now put him on the damn phone. Like in all the comments her named was Sandy. I found this number while on the phone with her and told her she is a scam artist. She cursed me out. I told her see why would a professional company curse people out on the phone. Someone on the other end was telling her hang up! hang up!. She hung up the phone.
