Came home late to a missed call from only "PORTSMOUTH, OH" on CID. No msg on machine, of course. Knew it was a SCAM of some kind; THANKS to those who investigated further with the "LEORF" info (not available to us!) We will now BLOCK.
Also received a call after 8:20 pm that showed L.E.O.R.F. on caller ID. Looked it up on Give.org, which is the BBB's charitable organization evaluations, and it was rated with a red exclamation mark. This supposed charitable organization, the Law Enforcement Officers Relief Fund, did not respond or declined to be evaluated by the BBB. In either case, it is not a good sign.
I received a call from LEORF on my caller ID although the phone number was 1-810-216-5725 Claimed to be selling medical alert systems to the elderly but that it really would end up FREE.. when I called back after the first phone call another woman answered and denied trying to sell a medical alert system She said they sold medical insurance policies only. ! The woman would not identify what the initials LEORF stood for , said she didn't know. She sais her company name was e-Health.
