sounds like I'm having the same experiance everyone else is. Today received phone call at home from CARDIDA.COM stating that I'm a semi-finalist in their contest to win an SUV or $25,000. He said he was calling from Priming Atuna Center Resort, he said the name too fast. If I come to their location on the OH/PA border, about 1 1/2 hrs away from Cleveland,OH, then I'm guarenteed to receive two of five prizes. Once there I would have to register w/their rep. & tour resort, receive a key which might unlock the SUV & then I'd receive two of five gifts. I made an appointment w/them for later this month. They'll mail me a packet w/directions. I recall filling out a form at the mall for this contest, but I didn't think I'd have to drive 1 1/2 hrs to participate. I went to the CARDIDA.COM web page, yes, we page, it only has their phone number & states that they've been trying to reach you about being a semi-finalist in their contest. Google it & their address in Cambridge, OH comes up. After reading the posts here about them being a high pressure timeshare seller, I'm not going. Thanks to everyone for posting their experiences.
I reported them to the "do not call list". Doubt anything will happen though. They call about 4 times per day 7 days per week. I didn't apply for any car deal or time share-----but they bought my number off someone...so you have to ask yourself "does the Do Not Call List really work?"
-You are getting a phone call regarding an entry form that you or a family member filled out for you for a car giveaway. They did not buy your information, you willingly gave it to them when you filled out the tiny little slip and threw it in the magical box. You probably filled out the entry form a bit hastily and didn't read the fine print on the back where it states, and I quote, "This above signature gives Cardida Corporation and/or it's resort's affiliates the right to contact you by phone." -Basically exempting you from their DNC list. =(
So, sorry, this company may seem to be violating the Do Not Call Registry's regulations, but they are not.
