It is not Dominion or whatever gas utility company you have. It is some company that is trying to make you think it is Dominion or whatever gas utility company you have, and they are trying to scam you. Only scammers call so many times per day. I do not know the real name of this company. They leave prerecorded messages and they also hang up. File a complaint with website FCC.gov or call them
FCC Phone: 1-888-225-5322. You can also report the call to Do Not Call at FTC.gov website. Eventually they might do something if enough people complain.
I think this company is somehow related to the "Rachel from Card Services" interest rate scam robocalls. I also think this same company calls and pretends to be the electric utility company and they say they can reduce your rates. It's all a scam.
Scammers will scam about anything. Lower your gas rate, electric rate, interest rate, whatever -- all a scam. Good idea, don't answer. It's all a phishing scam. They want your personal information including social security number, credit card and bank account numbers.
Scammers are nasty. File a report with donotcall.gov. Tell them you asked this unknown company with caller ID-- Gas Discount-- not to call and they kept calling.
4-5 calls per day, every day for the last six weeks. Did the 'press 0 to speak with an operator' today and the woman who answered said, 'I'll have you removed from our list' and hung up on me.
An hour later, the phone rang... guess who?
Filed a complaint with the FTC as we've been unlisted and blocked for YEARS.
I've been getting calls also. Never answer.
On my phone, it records as missed calls.
They called 11 times since I stared to monitor recently. Four times just today.
And this is after I called 740-475-2636 twice in past week and
pressed "1" to unsubscribe. Clearly it does not register.
It interferes with real, personal calls.
This kind of prank should be a felony and Gov should punish them.
