Numerous calls from this number. Caller ID says "Lancaster, OH". I pay extra for call blocking thru my phone provider, but only get 12 numbers I can block - and it's not enough!!! I am on the Do Not Call Registry, which does not keep the scammers from calling. So sick and tired of all the interruptions.
This is a new source number used by the "gas discounts" massive robocall operation. Some say they seek your account info for ID theft, or they may just be slamming you into higher gas rates. They call daily, lately multiple times per day from multiple source numbers. Their recorded messages are often picked up on voicemail. Today's call from 740-475-2691 with Caller ID SERVICE CUSTOME is the male recorded voice saying "Press zero to speak to a customer service representative. Press 0 to connect."
Similar calls have been received almost daily for the past 2 months, usually with female recorded voice: "press 5 to be transferred to a representative to find out which discounts you're eligible for. Press 5 to be transferred to one of our friendly representatives." Calls appear to come from:

440-617-5666 (no international access digits preceeding the number) and caller ID of SERVICE CUSTOME;

They call every other day and never leave a message. I do not answer because the number is not known to me. Called the number 740-475-2691 back and received a recorded message to press "1" to opt out of future calls which means they are looking to validate your number so they can sell to someone else.
This phone number 740-475-2691 Customer Service appears on our phone everyday we never answer. Also Gas Discount 440-617-5622 calls everyday at 1:30pm and 5:30pm. I'd would like to opt of these but knew that would be a scam too.
I have requested to get off of the "gas discount" phone list on 5 separate occasions, and they won't remove me! I am seriously going to find some way to take legal recourse.
