Ray, 740 IS the Delaware Co. area. 614 is only the Columbus city area code. Columbus city has a newer area code, 380, that is available also. 740 also covers a lot of central to southern Ohio. Please get your facts straight before posting.

Sorry ray, but I live in Delaware, Ohio and all three of my numbers are in the 740 area code. This area code actually encompasses the 614 area code all the way around Columbus, in all directions.
