My friend who is a elderly lady in her 80"s started getting calls randomly that she had won 5.5 million dollars and asking her to go and get a green dot card to pay them for the effort of making a trip to deliver a car, 150,000 dollars cash and a check for 5.5 million.They persistently called everyday 10 to 15 times per day demanding the green dot card number she purchased. My friend stated to them they if they want the card then they would have to meet her at her bank. We went to her bank on Friday 8/2/13and Monday 8/5/13 and waited for at least a hour and a half. Latter that evening the same man called and demanded her to give him the card number from her so her could deliver a car and a check. and at times becoming aggressive with her. I took the calls for her several times, even to the point of calling from my personal phone account number. When I researched the names and the area code of the phone calls, I found out the name they were using was the names of a deceased gentleman. My friend is 87 and bought into this scam due to the persisting calls and purchased the green dot card. Please beware that these type of people harass to the point that the our elders can't defend due to the lack of knowledge of how to stop these deceitful scam artist. All we want for her and others to beware their are people out there that will tell lies and continue until you have no choice but to plainly hang up on them, tell the person no thanks and hang up. This is one time you have no choice but to ignore, ignore, ignore you phone. Please use this site and get the word out and watch out for the elderly and the ones you care so much for.

I just got a call from this number (740-531-0515) and they wanted me to go to walgrreens and buy a card for $299.00 which I will give them when they come to my house to deliver my winnings and a car. I have never heard of having topay for any winnings. their company name is mega millions and he said they have many braches but he was calling from Las Vegas. The young man calling me has a accent of some kind. very hard to understand. he will be calling me in 30 minutes to make sure I got the card for $299.00.
I would not give them any money at all. Using the "Mega Millions" name to scam people is crazy. I would advise you to pass this on to FTC and let The Lottery Commission in Texas know they are using the Mega Millions Lottery name to scam people. Also you should never pay for a prize upfront from anyone and do not give out any personal financial information too. Plus contact the Texas Attorney General to report this scam.
