This started with us in Jan. They call everyday at 9:47. They always hang up when I answer and don`t leave any message on my answering machine. Reverse look-up only tells me its from Ironton, OH. Very, Very Annoying!
The caller ID shows 740-532-5953 as "Private". Instead of answering it, I googled the number. An article from the Glasgow Daily Times comes up and explains that someone from that number is soliciting funds for the Barren County Sheriff Dept. That is bogus!! Do NOT donate money to these thieves!
I have received numerous calls from this number during the last few weeks. The calls occur at least once or twice per day and at different times. When I answer the phone the caller hangs up. I have called the number back several times and no one anwers. I traced the number through Reverse Phone Detective to find out that the phone number line is a landline and the owner's name is "Safety Com" in Ironton, Ohio (no street address). No other information was available regarding "Safety Com"
There must be some way to stop these calls!
