This is a long one.
I'm staying in a Choice hotel. I missed 2 calls back to back from this Ohio number. I tried calling back but after 2 rings it went to voicemail and said the voicemail had not been setup yet.
He called back shortly after and said he was with Choice Hotels billing and there was a problem with my card and the billing address. He asked me to verify some things. Then he read me my home address, my Choice privileges number and the last four digits of the credit card I used. The last digit of my zipcode was wrong. He said he could correct it quickly he just needed to cancel the pending charge and if he could get my card info he could re-bill me. I said I wasn't going to give him that info over the phone but Id be happy to walk to the front desk and have them swipe it again. He said that's not how it worked that they wouldn't know anything about it. After rejecting him a couple more times he said security may come and remove me from my room.
After hanging up with him I walked to the front desk and asked them about it. He had called them as well. He told them I had filed a complaint about my room and he needed more information. They declined him and he hung up on them.

Be careful this is a very tricky scam. He even knew my room number at the hotel!
