The caller said the was the bookkeeper for the Police Protection organization and said that they called three weeks ago and I promised to send them some money. I said oh no I didn't and she said I did. I started to yell and she asked why are you yelling and said she would call back when I was in a better mood. I told her not to. Three weeks ago we had a bad storm and had no power and no phone. We do not give to any phone solicitors. I filed a complaint with the Do not call and the FCC. I also blocked their number on my phone.
Received this call at 2:12 PM. Caller ID says Police Protection. in doing a search, this number traced to a cellular caller in Athens, Ohio. The name that came up was Gagliardi Rebek. In calling the number I received a message that the" mailbox was full."
At 2:08 PM---4 minutes earlier--I received a call from 614-888-6602, caller ID, OHIO CALL. 614 is a Columbus area code. I called it and got the message that the number had been disconnected. Disconnected in a few minutes time!!!
I ignored these calls when the phone rang because I was outside, but after hearing the two different calls at such close interval, I was worried that something had happened to a family member who hasn't been feeling well. I rushed back inside to find these two calls--probably from the same person.
The number of phoney calls is unbelievable--and they often come in two's from different numbers.
Well hats off to these low-life creeps. They will do anything to try and scam someone. Ever heard of an honest days work you jerk?
Calls were 5 minutes apart- 1st one was from (702) 359-9089; asked for the wife, when I asked who was calling, he hung up! The 2nd call was from (740) 590-5385; this time after I said hello, they immediately hung up!
