I did too. Is this real or is this a scam??

It's a scam.  They are trying to scare you.  Delete the email.  Don't give them any information.  Don't call the number or email any of the addresses listed.

Also, a true government notice would never use the term "Federal Government of USA," and would be sent by snail mail, not email.  And "lawyer.com" is a free email service, just like gmail.

I also received an email from a [email protected] address with an attached letter threatening criminal and financial action if I didn't call 740-777-1396 to resolve the matter immediately. The letter was awkwardly worded and included multiple misspellings - almost as though it had been translated into English by a computer program or perhaps drafted by someone for whom English was a second language.
This is a particularly incendiary scam so I hope these guys are identified and stopped soon - and criminally prosecuted.
