A sudden flurry of calls from this number (I don't usually answer unfamiliar numbers) the caller said she was with Capital Energy and she was sorry she'd reached me, which was strange since she had yet to explain the reason for the call(s). I received a similar cluster of calls two months ago.
Sounds like this may be a telemarketing "boiler room" operation. I'd rather dig ditches or gather garbage. That's honest work.
Phone records show the CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier - which rents lines from the main local carrier) is INTERMEDIA COMMUNICATIONS, INC.
I just called this number back again and was prompted to add my number to their Do Not Call List, so I suggest calling this number back after they bother you, give 'em hell, then call again a bit later. Maybe you will get their DNC prompt and maybe it will do some good. Maybe.
