Called asking for money for breast cancer money for research. Asked for someone who has not owned the number for at least 10 years and insisted that I make a donation of at least $15. I kindly told her no several times and then she said have a good day and hung up.
Seems this number is used for various things. I answered without fully looking at the number - just saw the area code was mine. After saying hello three times, a woman asks for the man or woman of the house. I said, "speaking", where she went into a scripted thing about sending me a donation packet for breast cancer. Said no and got hung up. Come to think of it, there were delays between "her" questions and my responses which leads me to believe I was talking to a computer. Oh well. Number blocked.
This is just another robo-calling on a tie-line (757) number used by a fraud ring. I think they are up to 12 or more (757) numbers, offering a variety of scams and frauds. They have no shame whatsoever, calling on Sundays. Why aren't they in church with their families, instead of engaging in endless frauds and phishing for personal data and credit card numbers? A pox on them, and the telco which rents them the numbers, thus facilitating these frauds.
