I missed a call to a local Wichita Kansas number 316-858-0962. I thought it was one of my friends with a new cell phone number so I texted the number and thats when I got the text message. I dont normally text unknown numbers. I learned a valuable lesson Check here first!
Got a missed call frfom 888-2780. Then received text from the number 781-577-6806. Called the number back, a man answered and when i asked who he was trying reach, he hung up.
Got a call with no message left from 269-492-3593. Then a txt message immediately afterward "PLEASE CALL." I txted back "who is this?" Then a txt from 781-577-6805 txted back "This is the reply to your Text to landline message from 269-492-3593. Press TALK to listen" ... creeeepy! Wonder what this scam is all about? I'd strongly advise to NOT call either number, thinking maybe it's a number hijacker or something along those lines? Epic creepy factor.
# was 781-577-6803 for me. I sent a text to landline phone I thot was cell. I think recipient's phone rang then probably a digital voice translated my text. When I called 781 number I heard a confused msg back from him. Poor guy was scared of this whacky, poorly explained technology. Good thing I now know I can send texts to landlines. Bad thing is people who don't have cellies may not jive with awkward format.
