I received the unsolicited landline text message on Nov 20, 2008 at 2:38pm. from observing this thread, I was correct to disregard the message.

This number sent me a text message *Solicitation* offering to send text messages to land lines, apparently Sprint has been selling my information to third party solicitors again!! I do not like being harrassed or telemarketed in anyway on my cell phone. Idiots.  How do I block people like this??!!

To block a text message when you have Sprint as your cell phone service, log into the Sprint website (http://www.sprint.com), go to My Sprint, My Online Tools, and at the bottom left there is a link to Block Text Messages. Enter the phone number or email address then click Add to blocked list then click Save changes.
