Me too! and then I heard my Grandmother's phone ring and YUP, sure enough there he was again. Now he does not include his phone number nor his company name. He repeatedly suggests you press 9 and "you will be connected"
I love the little part in his script where he says "Look, I know these phone calls are annoying but..."
My Grandmother and I are both on the do not call registry so I phoned him at 781-801-7307 and left a message for him to STOP calling.
I've told Kevin multiple times that I'm on the do-not-call list. He tells me that he shouldn't have to obey the government's laws. So if he doesn't have to obey the laws, how can I trust him to be honest and above board when he performs a service for me? Scum!
Oh, yeah, Kevin? You owe me money. The government says so. I'm reporting you again.
"Kevin" is in the power washing and carpet cleaning business, and is looking to increase his customer base. As I generally support the concept of businesses increasing their customer base, I'd like to point out some of the mistakes "Kevin" made so that other business people won't repeat them:
Solicit business via long-winded robocalls.
Made to numbers on the do no call list.
Mid-afternoon on Thanksgiving Day.
Without giving a business name (or full name, if he is legitimately a one-man operation).
Calls once a week or so, "Hi this is Kevin and I'm in the duct cleaning and power washing business..." and on and on. My number is on national do not call list. I don't want to stay on the line or call him back because I don't want to encourage him. Plus, I'm located about 100 miles from the location of his phone number. If he can't find customers closer to where he's located, he must be really poor at his job.
10:00 on Christmas Eve. This is infuriating. I'm also on the Do Not Call list and don't know how to stop this guy. Most other robo callers have stopped except this one.
