called this evening for a person who doesn't live here or is not known regarding payday loans, this person/persons has been calling all day and I am tired of it, have told them that this person is not here nor has been and the next call would be to the fcc and they still keep calling on different numbers, probably skyped
gotten calls from the following no: 888-888-8888 out of area, unavailable, nfp 2127865453 8058763141,4016487436, 4855287714, 7681168163,
These morons have been calling my house every two minutes for the last 3 hours. They don't leave a message, just continually call and hang up. I am on the do no call list and have their number blocked. Don't understand why they don't give up!!!!
The best thing for this that works for me is to buy a phone that has call blocking as a feature. I bought a Panasonic @ Radio Shack for under $70, and you can block up to 30 numbers, plus it blocks the "Unknown Number" or "Blocked Number" callers. Block the numbers that you get the most calls from, and after a week, those calls will dramatically drop. The other alternative is to report the repetitive ones to the Federal Trade Commission, ESPECIALLY if they start harassing you. Last, but not least, call 888-382-1222 from the phone(s) you do not want unwanted telemarketing calls from. This is the National Do Not Call list, provided by the FTC. I have found that by blocking the calls that are the most annoying, they'll eventually stop!
I had the exact same thing happen to me with these companies and Wells Fargo. This has cost me well over $3K and the number is still climbing. You are correct - Wells Fargo has been absolutely NO HELP, and has treated me like I did something wrong. Between the overdraft charges and unauthorized withdrawals from my account, I'm not sure how I've survived these last few months. Yes, I should have come up with another solution than a pay-day advance; however, I never actually agreed to one, I was just looking. Then, about two weeks later, my account started getting drained and eventually overdrawn. It took numerous phone calls and three trips to the bank to get it to stop, and I have not seen one cent back from Wells Fargo - not even a refund of the funds they let get debited once I had made several formal complaints. I feel your pain. Wells Fargo is one of, no, THE worst banking institution in America.
I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau in my state and I am also looking to pursue other avenues.
