Micro Financial calling to ask if I would like to pay on a 6 1/2 year old account that had ben charged off; they wanted to offer me the opportunity to clean up my credit file regarding an entry for Time Payment, an equipment leasing company which my company used about ten years ago. I stated I was not going to pay the debt, then agent asked why. I told her I just simply was not going to pay and that if she wanted payment she should sue me. She then stated that there was no need for me to become rude, and that she was only reaching out to me. I stated that I thought I was being rather polite, quite frank, but really rather polite. The agent then hung up.
Called 6 times on july 31. Answered the caller claimed I owed the on a bill for security monitoring, I stated they have wrong person and told to remove my number. Called again today and the lil [***] claimed he dialed wrong claiming he ment to dial a 7 I told him "the 7 is on the other side of the [***] phone" just call the complaint department and demanded they remove my number and I would be filing a harassment report with the BBB.
This is a phish message meant to catch elderly victims and/or vulnerable people. Allegedly a debt collection with a "call to action" meant to FLEECE victims. We call them MUSTANGS, as they jump and run when law enforcement bears in, which is now. As experienced law enforcement I forwarded the message and the tele # to the F.B.I and Homeland Security as it could be accumulating funds for terrorism. The msg was left on a telephone vm wherein the caller, called a name included in my name stem, not indicating any other name associated with me, ie "like" no 1st or no last name, just 1 name in the stem. The male voice approx. 30 years old said he was from Andy Vitton Payon-tal leasing company (unknown entity, unknown State, unknown City, no tele # for the fictitious company left with vm message). The caller stated that "your account with us is seriously past due, that by this FRI payment must be received so that the payment due does not go over 90 days past due at which point it would be sent to collections, where penalties and attorneys fees would be due, and credit rating affected, therefore, I "XYZ" should call 877-868-3800 and reference (place in) an eight digit number beginning with a 3 - - - - - - whereby payment could be taken over the phone." The caller calling from (781) 994-4700 Woburn MA. Most likely from a Drop phone, but recording is en-route (downstairs) to highest level of voice recognition and caller location via triangulation; ie 3 years each count, attempted wire fraud, prison, baby!

Regardless of what they are or what they may become, they are still subject to the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If they call you about a debt, demand a debt validation letter be sent to you by US mail. E-mail no good.
