Solicitor stated I entered a recent sweepstakes for a Bahamas cruise. Right off, I asked how much it would cost me for my FREE cruise. He stated he'd need more information before he could get his system to tell what, exactly, I'd won. It was a total sales spiel- believe me, he got ZERO, out of me. Then came the fast ball- $59 port fee per person, mandated by the government, of which $150 and change, would have to be paid NOW. I told "Jarold" that I didn't give out my credit card information unless I was the one making the call, to say, a doctor's office. His answer "oh, you can never be too safe nowadays! I understand your hesitation, but I only have to start with the expiration date on your credit card." I still said NO. he went on again, saying he could run the charge, and see if my card would accept that amount- what?! I have impeccable credit, you moron- of course it will accept it!=== I still said no. Then I handed the phone to my child, she can talk to him, because she has a better grasp of the word NO. And she thought it was fun to talk to someone on the phone, other than Grandma...
SURPRISE! he hung up.
I just called back tonight- 10 minutes of music, and a disconnect. I called again. Within 30 seconds, I had a woman and demanded to be taken off their call list. She said ok. I asked her if she would ask for my number to do it? she said no, she had it- and repeated my number to me.
SCAM. but they'll only start with the expiration date of your credit card.
This number continue's to call me. No messages. When I call the number back you get music with no one answering or voice mail. I want this calling to stop.
