They say they are with the Association for the Homeless and Disabled Vets out of Falls Church Va. Could someone verify that this is true

Just got the call a few minutes ago. I thought it was a scam so I hung up.

I have gotten calls from this area code before and do not trust it.  Seems to be a pity- party attempt to fleece bleeding hearts.
If you, like I do   (and listen-up , me hearties)...
--have ever contributed to a charity, have ever had a valid credit card, or have ever owned some property.  WATCH-OUT!
Your [***] will be be thrown like a log on the sacrificial fire of "LET`S GET RICH OFF OF THIS SUCKER!"  By your bank, phone co. or other trusted service  (health)? provider in many cases.  I don`t have the answer--just the question.
How can we keep our [***] from being stolen, begged or emotionally blackmailed out from under our lower spines?

The area code 804 is legit....I've lived in it all my life lol. Can't say the same for the rest of the phone number as they never leave a message.
