They keep calling for my child! He just got first job in highschool, he has no credit nor any bills in his name. Get your records straight before you harass people.
Yeah....right! Who do you think you're kidding? Whether a person pays all their bills or not, it's all irrelevant to desperate third- party collection outfits & JDBs. If they have a number in their system, they'll call it. Endlessly, or at least until they receive a cease & desist letter. Sometimes that won't even work!
Everyone needs to keep in mind the type of person who's calling. These people are paid little more than minimum wage. They're promised commissions of 5-10% of their "take". Commissions which often are never seen. These callers always fail to realize that they're working for better shysters than they are! Go figure. Cubicle-clowns are never hired for their intelligence.
Research & know your rights under the FDCPA. It's not hard to do, it's not hard to understand. If a collector is in violation of the FDCPA, there you go! He's a fraudulent and/or bogus collector attempting to collect on an invalid, time-barred or purely fictitious debt. Always demand written proof of a collectors claims, via the mail. NOT an e-mail or fax! As per federal regulation. Always demand the physical address of a collector. NOT a P.O. box! As per federal regulation. They refuse? DO NOT pay them a dime!

If they're calling you at work, it is a violation of the FDCPA. Check the Federal Trade Commission web site for your rights as a consumer and report them.
I have answered call after call from this number trying to figure out who it is and why they keep calling but every time I pick up either I get hung up on or a recorded message telling me to call the number that just called me. I have tried that twice and haven't been able to reach a live person.
I started getting phone calls from 804 327 7420 and I waited until I spoke to a person (who was very rude and disrespectful) to me saying that I had a debt from April 2007 from the ambulance service here in Richmond. I asked the rude airhead for written documentation to prove their claim. News flash a***holes I wasn't living in the Richmond area until late 2008
