Took a bit for the caller to come on-line with me, indicating a call center with a dispatch. Caller asked for me by my first name, indicating they were calling from a list, even though I am on the do not call list.
I asked if the caller was from the US or a foreign scammer. (He sounded foreign and very slow with English) I got rude and told him to stop calling and hung up.
A few minutes later, he called again. Said he was calling from a recorded line. I said good, I'll record it as well and to hang on while I set up. He hung up at that.
I tried to call back, and got 'all circuits are busy'. Finally got through and got the message to get put on their do not call list.
I received a call from this number and ignored it. However, what made it odd was that I had received another call only a few seconds before from 617-826-5673. I had also ignored that one as I didn't recognise it. This has happened a few times lately: closely-followed calls from different numbers. I expect they are just running through their random list of available numbers hoping us poor befuddled people will answer one of them. Oh well, better luck next time scammers!
