Just got a call from this number. Caller ID says "SMS". Very loud talking/noise in the background. Asking for the owner as if they know him. Very suspicious......beware.
These are the folks from the security company SMS. I don't know anyone who has done business with them, but their marketing tactics are fairly aggressive. They ask for the owner/president of the company by name and will get aggravated if you ask them too many questions, like, "what is your company"? I just place them on hold for 60 seconds and tell them who they are asking for is unavailable.
Called & asked for the owner like he was a personal friend. I screen ALL calls & rarely send them to voice mail unless I know that it's a legitimate call & not marketing or sales calls.
Today he called & asked for the owner again & told me his name was Steve Young calling from Mike Hamilton's office. When I told him that the owner wasn't answering a page, he hung up on me. Never again.
This company with the caller ID "SMS" has been calling for years to our office, asking for the owner by name. I have relayed the message that we do not take unsolicited calls, and they should not call back, but they still called back just today.
