This absolutely is a scam people. Please do not give them any personal info--they are running a fraud scheme and ripping off anyone who falls for it. Get a phone that has blocking ability and never answer these calls. These scammers obtain records through DMV or other means to get enough info to appear legit (name, make and model of car etc). They especially target the older generations hoping for a mark who may be experiencing declining cognitive function and get ahold of their account info. I have to police my Mom's calls like a hawk so she doesn't have to deal with these turds. Unfortunately our current government doesn't give a rat's [***] about protecting us from these criminals who prey upon us in our own homes. Thanks Hilbama and all your sycophants for doing absolutely nothing for us and trying to dismantle this great country piecemeal at every opportunity. Allowing this type of phone scamming to flourish unabated is just one example of how we are being let down by this abysmal administration.
Received call 10.12.16 I did not pick up the phone. No voicemail left. All these spam calls confirm what a lot of people think about phone companies selling their databases of customers to third parties for additional profits.
Thsee idiots call at least two or three times a month about an extended warranty on a vehicle I have never owned. Each time I stated such and to remove my number from their list. To date they have failed to do so. This last call yesterday I told them I do not own a Ford Fusion yet again and remove my number for the fourth time. Then the jerk had the audacity to ask if I wanted one on the vehicle I presently own! I yelled no as loud as I could and stated yet again to remove my jumber. Next move is to file a complaint with the DNC website.
The call came in with "Spam" marked below the number on my screen. It must be my Google Fi phone service that identified the number and marked it spam. After reviewing these reports, I'm glad I didn't answer the call.
Robocall selling extended vehicle warranties. Their system had to wait several seconds to bring up my car's make and year. More delays, no response as it was all generated, not a real human. A scam.
