said he was an independent processor from Shiawassee county and said he was going to serve me with legal papers, I've never had any legal trouble so this was strange, I asked my mom about it and she told me not to call back. after searching the case number nothing popped up within any court records. im assuming this is a scam...
They called me about a Payday Loan from years ago that I paid off. They're threatening to serve me papers next week if I don't settle over the phone. No company name, the man was rude and kept telling me I was "making excuses" when I told him it was illegal to tell me he was going to serve me papers, and he said "good luck" and hung up on me. I told him I wanted to speak to my lawyer first and that's when things started going downhill.
