old...really OLD debt collectors who buy in bulk old debts from banks, stores, broken apartment leases. The phone call you get is intended to only see if your phone line is 'live' then they will continue to call harassing you about a debt that statue long since ran out on. If you can block them do so. Keep in mind they will try calling from different 'area' numbers however
I get calls from this 260 prefix almost everyday, they have about fifty different ending numbers and just keep calling and keep calling, so I've blocked about 10 of them so far...stupid!
