Received a call from a Frank Rizzo from this number stating I was listed as a reference on a check/loan that my son was deliquent on. I was to have my son or his attorney contact then before day's end. He was contacted and very rude to all of us and tried to turn it around that we were rude. He did not give a correct account number and the account had been closed long before the date he said the check was written. Upon looking up the numbers he used and gave, it appears this is a scam. Will be contacting our local police about it.
Received a call from this number. Has happened before. If I look at my caller ID and it says Houston, TX;, Washington, DC:, Virginia, etc., any place that I do not know the number, I push the talk button and then immediately press the off button. Otherwise, sometimes if I let it ring through, it will go to my answering machine and then the machine starts beeping. So by doing the above, the ring stops immediately and there is nothing on my answering machine...

I was suspicious because it was the second call from an unrecognized number in two days (yesterday it was from 209-927-2121, Moccasin CA -- also listed as suspect on 800notes). I was home but let it ring to see if they would leave a message on my answering machine. They didn't. Suspect a scam. Thanks for the posts, 800notes!
received call today about 3 attorneys are filing against me and called me by maiden name, when i requested proof of debt under fair debt collection act, he started screaming at me, told me i would be sued.
Same as everyone above some idiot called about my brother in law about a loan I'm contacting the fcc in the morning because they called after 9 pm big fine for them.
