Received a call from this number today at 11:58 AM. I never answer calls from numbers which I do not know, especially area codes out of my home state. The Caller ID read "Houston, TX." After reading the thread on 800 Notes, I assume it is from a collection agency. All of my bills are current, so I believe it may be some sort of old uncollectible debt. I have not received ANYTHING from this company in writing, so I do not know what it is they are calling about, but they are escalating, calling every day. I guess I need to go the Better Business Bureau, to get them to stop.
This call is to my cell number.... a scam to get me to answer my phone so they can link and charge calls??? I do not recognize this phone number, I will not answer calls coming from this number. They will not leave a message. I clearly have my greeting with my name. IF they are calling the wrong number, they are not paying attention to my greeting, Yes...it's a scam.
832 476-0437 called my home phone at 8:30 in the morning. I didn't recognize the name on the caller ID, the number, or even the area code, so I didn't answer. The call went to my answering machine, but they didn't leave a message. The caller ID said "United Recovery", so I Googled it, & it's a debt collection company out of Houston, TX. I don't have any outstanding debt, but most of the Google search results for this company are very unfavorable. They sound very shady. Be careful, & don't give out any personal info over the phone, even if you do have debt.

Received another call from this company today at 12:36. No message left. The caller ID read United Recovery. I have no outstanding debt, so I have no idea what this is about, other than harassment. Since March, they have called 14 times from different numbers. No messages are ever left. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against them last week. I have not heard back yet from my complaint, but the Better Business Bureau claims they have 30 days to answer my claim. Interesting thing is that this "business" has over 120 complaints filed against them with the BBB in just two months! Of course, they have an A+ rating with the BBB, obviously bought. What other business could have 120 complaints filed against them in two months and still be in business! I am so tired of this. The good news is that complaints filed against them or any company, stay on their record for three years.
