Some guy started talking in Japanese then said something is wrong with my computer. I said who is this and it's 6:30 a.m. Then he hung up. I could hear other males talking to others like an exchange center. SCAMMERS!
This man keeps calling and says he is with Windows about my computer. And that someone has called them, No one has ever placed a call to windows. He has been told we are on the National Do Not Call Registry. He continues to call!!! It is time to report this number!

I get at least 2 calls/day from 832-512-2143. My caller id says one of 3 things-"Cell Phone TX", "Private Call-TX" or the number itself (832-512 2143). After I hang up, I am able to identify the calling number (if the caller id identified it as a Private Call or Cell Phone-TX) through a feature on our land line phone system (yes, we still have one) AND by looking at my phone bill. If I call it back, I get a recording that the number is no longer in service. Incredibly annoying since I can't block private calls since we have health professionals who, for privacy reasons, use "Private Call." And I also have family in TX so cannot block all calls from TX. I did try to block the number itself (the 832-512-2143) on both the home phone system and on the website from my phone company provider, but I still get them.
We went through a 2-3 month period where we got several calls/day from various numbers but all callers said they were calling about a Windows issue that they identified. Hanging up didn't stop the calls but my telling them that we don't have a computer seemed to stop the calls. Took probably a month of repeating the "I don't even know what computer is?!" type responses but they stopped, totally and completely. Don't believe that the Windows calls were coming from individuals-too many and other friends were getting the same. But they are probably calling from call centers that may be located in different parts of the country (or world) so there is some attempt to identify and purge tele #'s where they will NEVER get business.
