I don't answer these calls, since I don't recognize the number. The CID is United Recovery and they have called from another number, as well: 713-458-3418. I have no debts, let alone late debts. These people better cease and desist. The call came 1/16 at 10:55AM and, earlier, from the other number, on 1/13/15 at 11:54AM.
This company called me at my parents home, which is a number I have not used in ten years or more. They would not give a straight answer on who the where and could not confirm the company name and what they do.
FYI, I also made a Best Buy purchase within the last 2 weeks and started getting calls from this company over the last couple of days. They call over and over but don't leave a message. I paid with my business card connected to my business banking account so I paid in full at the time of my purchase so it's not like I skipped out on my bill. Sure seems connected to me!
So Best Buy sends your debt to a debt collector before you even have the original bill? I got a call too and I have no Best Buy Credit card. If this was a legitimate collection, they would leave a message with the name of the person that they are attempting to collect from and to contact them. I have never had a company that I am overdue in paying not call me to get payment and just go directly to a bill collector. You usually have to be at least a few months behind and ignoring their calls for them to go to a bill collector.
