Just got a call from Perdue Brandon law firm, the caller ID was 713-862-1860, but the voicemail asked me to call 832-777-3237 about a property tax issue.  Seems like I would have received a mailed notice to my home, the only property I own.  Perdue Brandon is a legitimate law firm, that specializes in government collections, but how do I know that is who I'm calling when I call this other number?

As for my property taxes, that is all handled by my bank via escrow, I'm pretty sure all of that is taken care of.  The only property that I owned before my house was from well over 30 years ago, and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be what they are talking about....
