I as well got a call saying they were from the RIS and I owed money and if I hung up I was going to Jail. I can't stand that person it really up set me . Hope they catch him.
This is the 2nd time they have called and told me I will be going arrested and going to jail for tax fraud or tax evasion if I don't call them back. Crazy!!! 832-802-6220 I will not be returning this call. The IRS or anyone else needs to come and get me if they want me, ha!
Missed their call, listened to the voicemail about tax debt & going to jail for failing to reply. I called back 20 minutes later &&' no answer. Guess what's coming next.. CALLER BLOCKED.
They called my mobile phone about 3 hours ago. I was in a meeting, and missed the call. The voice message they left scared the sh*t outta me! - saying this would be considered the 2nd time I failed to comply, which would lead to federal criminal action and arrest, etc., etc., etc. Even though common sense says the IRS isn't going to be leaving partially cut-off robo-messages, I was seriously freaked out. So I'm exceptionally relieved to read all these other accounts of this scam. When I called the number back, I got a message that said no one was available to take my call. I called back multiple times and got the same recording. Thanks for raising my blood pressure, damn scammers!
