This thread seems to be old, but this number is still around - they called my cell phone today. I never answer when I do not recognize the number/if it's someone I do not know. They left a recording on my voice mail with a "case number" and the usual "call us back or litigation will be started against you", etc. The call back number they left is 888-512-5897 which when I googled it, didn't have much information. I'm not calling them, just blocking them and making sure I'm on the DNS list. Scammers!!!!!
I put this number on my call rejection and filed a complaint with New Jersey AG as well as my carrier and have not gotten anymore calls from this number.
Chris forget the fbi site go to Attorney general/new jersey file a complaint i did heard back in less than 24 hrs.it also tells you how to reach the governor.
I no longer answer calls from area codes I am unfamiliar with. It is great for the blood pressure.
I called the FBI and they gave me this website - ic3.gov
So far no response from them.
This number calls at least 10 times a day. Everytime they call I pick and yell STOP CALLING MY HOUSE. They called once today and I did the same thing, haven't gotten a call back...so it must be working...LOL
